rachel is engaged!

These two precious souls are now engaged. I couldn't be happier for Rachel and Cam. I love Rach. I love Cam. I love them. I love that they are getting married. I love that I was woken up at 3:30 in the morning when Rachel told me. I love that I can FINALLY tell everybody (hence the public blog post). I love that I can help Rachel plan her wedding. I love that all my friends are getting married. I love how happy everybody is.
so.....Bring on the weddings.

happy father's day

Dear Dad (Wild Ram),
It's a fact that you are the best dad out there. Thank you for:
-Your love you show for mom. It's a great example to us kids.
-Your support in everything I do
-Your positive outlook on life
-Your focus on our family
-Your genuine kindness to random people
-Your willingness
-Your phone calls to check up on me
-Letting us make fun of you
You are a great example to me. I love you a lot and if my future husband can be half the man you are in raising our family I feel like we will be pretty set. LOVE YOU!

Two weeks

Today was my first day back running after a two week break. Needless to say I was a bit tired but I'm excited to be back but I definitely lived UP my break. Who knew one could have so much fun in only two weeks? Here are some of the activities that jump started summer twenty eleven. I.....

Hung out with these three fine people. Happy Rodriguez is back with us this summer but really sad Maddie left for home. Already miss you Mads.

Watched Jenny walk out of Banana Republic in Park City with her new glasses that still had the sticker....baha

Tried sushi for the first time.

Painted nails.

Played cards galore. I love playing peanuts.

Played with my intramural kickball team. This day we were dressed as hick/cowboy. So I might be closer to 90's but it was still fun.

Ate some DELICIOUS Hokulia shaved ice. Best place in Provo. Got a stamp card which I'm verrry excited

Watched outdoor movies

Ate pazookies for Maddie's birthday. Who needs BJ's?

Celebrated Maddie's birthday . So old.

Had a team banquet and took some lovely pictures together.

And sadly I don't have a picture of this but last night Rachel woke me up at one to inform me very frantically that a robber had just broken in by smashing our window in. I fell back asleep but she was sure to awaken me again. She barricaded our bedroom door and quickly called our neighbor to come over and take the kidnapper/robber down. We then walked downstairs with Rachel yelling, "WHO ARE YOU? HELLO? WHO'S THERE?" It ended up just being a thing that had fallen off our wall and broken a plate. Thank goodness our neighbor came over too especially since he had work at four so we definitely woke him up. What a relief....we are safe.

Addie May

For FHE our ward went to the Provo Cemetery and helped clean up all the flowers from Memorial Day. I knew my great-grandparents were buried in this cemetery so I got some people searching in the area I remembered it being in and I (meaning my bishop) found it! I was so excited. Philo Taylor and Addie May Gurr Edwards. I loved looking at their grave and seeing when they were born and married and trying to imagine what they were like and different things they went through. Maybe I'm just thinking a lot about families because that night I interviewed
my Edwards grandparents for this marriage prep class I'm taking and my other Price grandparents just left for their mission in Russia but it was a really nice thing for me to see this grave. I'm just really lucky to have two great sets of grandparents and learn from their great examples. I've been intrigued by their storied as of late because they had to go through the same things I do. I can learn so much from them and I feel strengthened by them and their examples as well as all my ancestors. I seriously can't wait to meet Addie May though...I think we will be really good friends for some reason.

Hangin with the nieces

Memorial Day I got to spend with two favorite girls Naomi and Sage. It was a ton of fun to play with them because I don't get to see them very often. They are growing up so fast and are just the sweetest little girls EVER (I might be slightly biased but they really are)

Just playing with the play food. Naomi wanted to play "Shake Shack" but then Sage got all excited thinking we were actually going to get shakes so we had to make an abbreviation and call it the double S. Luckily Naomi is so smart she understood and Sage was just excited to use the paper money and gnaw on the plastic hot dogs.

Naomi literally started to sob when I had to go back to school. You can even see the tears in her eyes in this picture. It was really quite sad but I mean who can blame her?

Three generations going strong.

My mom and I painted their finger and toenails but we wanted them to keep still so we put on a movie and set them all up to enjoy themselves post-manicure. They even got sparkles on their fingers so they were pumped. Cutest thing ever.

So cute.
