merry christmas

Christmas. You gotta love it. Something I loved about this Christmas was the fact that my mom was trying to be a good grandma so every single day there was a different activity for us to participate in with Sage and Naomi.Everybody was home and it was nice just to spend some serious quality time together.

We went up to the cabin and went sledding a bunch on these sick tubes....so fun

Up at the cabin we played a bunch of duets on the piano. Sage obviously was loving her life during this time.

Naomi is four years old and she can seriously read. It's amazing. We were playing this game where we told her to spell words and she could totally do it. FOUR YEARS OLD!! (She can also skip) We also tried to teach her the whole song "Do a Deer" from the Sound of Music and she did great.

Love this picture of my dad and Sage.

Naomi (you may call her Naomini or Naomi but nothing else) on Christmas morning. Please notice her little cheetah leggings and hot pink sparkle TOMS. Hahah I couldn't believe she actually got TOMS.

Sage repping her new little leotard which she didn't take off for quite some time. I loved her in this little leotard because her belly just poked out so cute.

The family doing the nativity scene. The unicorn outfit is supposed to be a donkey I think.

Sage was the angel. During the prayer she was bothering Naomi and Naomi got so frustrated that she finally yelled at Sage, "Sage, you are the BADDEST angel EVER!" Needless to say there was a lot of laughter during that prayer.

The family all reading the "Night Before Christmas" in special voices given and everybody had to guess who was being portrayed. Very fun.

Beata, Sagey in her cute snowman pajamas, and Sunny.

Please notice the little jumpers on the girls. My mom, Annie, and I made those outfits so they would look cute on Christmas Eve....mission accomplished.

Literally Naomi was obsessed with me this whole break. She always chose me to sit by her, put her to sleep, read her stories, play with her, etc etc etc. I was loving it and everybody else was green with jealousy.

My grandmas are beautiful.

Mom and Sage.

We made some divinity together which is a tradition we always make. My grandma and grandpa are the experts. It is high stress because it is very time sensitive but according to everybody, it was the best divinity EVER.

Not only can Naomi read but she learned how to ski this year. It was adorable. But while we were at Brighton the power went out so the lifts stopped working but we wanted to see all that she learned so my dad carried her to the top of the hill so she could ski down. She did great.

The cheerleaders on the sidelines.

Naomi and I at lunch during skiing. She was sure to show me her little button that said how great she was during her ski lessons.

Snowgirl inspired by Naomi who wore that wig for a whole evening. Naomi really really REALLY wanted to make a snowman and luckily we made one before the snow went all away. One of Jayne's friends brought us 6 more snowmen so we had a whole snowman village in our front yard. You wouldn't even believe how happy this made my mom.

So much time and effort went into this gingerbread village. It was even a two day project. So worth it though.

Naomi probably ate more candy than she actually put on the gingerbread house we worked on together.

So cute.

Sage was killing me in her outfit and she wouldn't let go of Matthew's finger which was even more funny.

Naomi was set on wearing her princess dress and tiara to the lights and tour of the conference center by g-pa alvin. oh what beauty and grace.

Watch out Poland...here comes Megan!

One of my best friends who I'm sure will be considered a lifetime best friend when we reach the age of 65 Megan McAdams is off to the MTC today. She is going to Warsaw, Poland. Crazy I know. I met Megan a week before school started as a freshman at cross country camp and I immediately loved her spunk and total craziness. We soon became best friends and have had our fair share of amazing memories including:

-countless sleepovers
-eating ice cream galore at the Cannon Center freshman year
-her picking out lice for an hour and a half one night when I got home from India (talk about true friendship)
-watching a movie late at night and then immediately putting in another and watching 2 to 3 movies a night
-her helping my mom with her campaign TONS
-having her at my house last year for Christmas Eve and making delicious cookies
-talking about boys, likes, dislikes, etc.
-trust me there a lot more but it would be impossible to tell about ALL of them

Megan Marie McAdams is going to be greatly missed. I love her a lot!! Poland seriously better watch out because Megan is going to blow its mind.

thank you ali. i love getting tagged.

Ali is a champ. She's a great friend and has a great blog. I was tagged by her and will answer her questions to the best of my ability.

4 shows I watch:
1. In the Middle. Such a hilarious show except now Hulu doesn't play it but the daughter that runs cross country just kills me because it shows how pitiful the sport of XC is.
2. Disney channel when I'm at home. Love all those shows besides Phineas and Ferb
3. Occasionally Glee when it's not so skanky which it has had the tendency of being lately so not so much watching of that anymore.
4. I guess the next top show would be like sports center when I'm in the training room but I'm really not a huge tv watcher. I'm more into movies I think.

4 things I'm passionate about:
1. My family
2. My friends
3. Keeping a balanced life
4. Traveling and learning new things from new people and places

4 phrases I say a lot:
1. Oh baby baby
2. I feel like..........(fill in the blank)
3. I know right?!
4. For real?

4 things I've learned from the past:
1. Relationships of all kinds are important and you can learn something from everybody.
2. Savor the present instead of worrying about the past or future.
3. There's never a bad time to let someone you love know how much you care for them.
4. We really do have it pretty dang good.

4 things I did yesterday:
1. Dressed up in long elf like socks with white fur on the top.
2. Went to Barnes and Noble and received free wrapping on an item I purchased. So great.
3. Ate another chocolate from my Milka aka delicious advent calendar.
4. Saw so many people seeing the lights at Temple Square. Apparently the cool hangout place on a Saturday night.

4 places I would love to visit:
1. Greece
2. Costa Rica
3. New Zealand
4. India again

4 things I'm looking forward to:
1. Christmas break and seeing Naomi and Sage (and Annie and Matt too I guess)
2. Having my own classroom
3. Indoor season
4. Going to the temple when I'm older with my husband and being a cute old couple who hold hands and go to the temple together and make delicious goodies for all the neighborhood children.

4 things I love about winter:
1. Sleeping by the Christmas tree every night with Jayne
2. Fun winter clothes such as scarves, boots, coats, etc.
3. Drinking hot chocolate up the wazoo
4. CHRISTMAS!!

With that I finish the questions and I now tag: Ms. Jenny Welling, Mrs. Jenna Transtrum, Ms. Megan McAdams, and Ms. Danielle Ycmat.

jazz game

Monday night we went to the Jazz game and when I say we went to the jazz game I'm not kidding. One of my dad's friends gave us front row tickets. Literally. I was at the half court line with my feet on the court. Some of the highlights:

-Trying to get a ball from one of the dancers slash Jazz Bear. I think there's a rule no giving anything to front row people.
-Seeing my dad really try to get the attention of the Jazz Bear because he knows him.
-Yelling out to the players when they were so close trying to see if they would look at me. I think one time Raja Bell gave me a little head nod.
-Watching these little dancers during the half time show. We were very close and got to see all their facial expressions.
-Jayne being scared one of the players was going to land on her and hurt her.
